What is body Sugaring?

Body sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal using a completely natural paste made from lemon, sugar and water. The paste is molded to your skin against the direction of the hair growth, and then quickly flicked off – removing the sugar paste, extracting your unwanted hair, and collecting dead skin cells.

This technique extracts the hair in the direction of its growth, so there is less breakage, less ingrown hairs and minimal discomfort for you!

Plus! It’s more sanitary and is environmentally conscious AF because there are no sticks or strips.

After your service, the paste and gloves are discarded and you are feeling on fleek with beautifully smooth skin.

How does Sugaring work towards a permanent hair removal solution?

Hair growth is more refined after each sugar session. After a number of regular sugaring treatments the hair follicle begins to deplete, which leads to permanency.

How often should I get sugared?

Everybody’s different as hair grows in stages and in each shaft, hairs can grow at different rates! We recommend maintaining a regular sugaring schedule of four weeks for best results.

What length should my hair be?

Length of a long rice grain for best results!

If I use Acutane, Rentin-A, or other retinoid creams is it safe to get sugared?

Unfortunately, if you are using Retin-A, or any other topical cream for acne on your face, we would not be able to sugar your face at all. After one month of discontinuing these products, you’ll be able to use our services. We always do a patch test to ensure safety.

I have sensitive skin; can I be sugared?

Yes! Any skin or hair type can be sugared. It is even 100% safe during your entire pregnancy! With sugaring, only the dead skin and hair is removed – NONE of your live skin cells will be removed. Plus we apply the sugar paste at room temperature, so it can NEVER burn you!

Made from white sugar, water, and lemon juice (citric acid), our sugar paste is perfect for every skin type. It’s 100% eco-friendly, hypoallergenic and made with no nasties. Any excess sugar paste comes off gently and easily with warm water.

Can I get sugared when I am pregnant?

Yup! It is safe right up until the day you are due!
